I am beginning to believe that I may never walk again.

Oh the things I have been missing.

I miss the walks I used to take with my family.

I miss walking inside every morning and appreciating the dew on the blades of grass, the sun shining through the trees warming my face, and the little bits of spring that have begun to pop up here and there.

I miss watering my garden. It has been obtaining it's needed water supply from Jay, but she doesn't water them with the love and care I do.

My hummingbird feeder is half empty, I have not had the pleasure to witness it's nectar being consumed by the little things.

On my second day of the much anticipated Spring Break I have not attended any beach. I miss the beach. I miss running and jumping over the waves as they come crashing ashore.

I miss Courtland running inside calling my name, demanding I run outside and have a look at the interesting bugs and other sundry things he has chanced upon.

I miss sticking my feet in the pool and Ipsi jumping in for a swim, splish splashing me with bright blue water.

I miss Ocsar whining because he is a weiner dog, and by nature, not of the swimming kind.

I even miss doing yardwork with my Dad. The not so pleasant melody of the rake hitting the leaves, and then swiftly picking them up, mixed with the occasion yelp of pain cause by the bite of an unfriendly ant.

I miss being able to go the library, the lab, the grocery store, the gas station, church, the chinese takeout place, the pharmacy, the neighbor's cookouts and the basketball game.

I miss going out with my friends. I miss getting cheese fries from Steak and Shake and watching movies, and doing Chinese firedrills at every stop sign within a ten mile radius of Britt's house.

I miss being able to get a drink for myself. I can make it to the kitchen fine, but on my journey back my place on the couch I find my beverage is no longer in my cup, but on the carpet. Another trip to the kitchen to find a rag is then needed. Such a hassel. Don't even ask about meal times.

I miss dancing, jumping, running, leaping, walking, skipping.

I miss the use of my left foot.
